Zambia Devolution Support Pragrame ZDSP

Overview

The Zambia Devolution Support Programme (ZDSP) is a World Bank-backed, government-led initiative (2023-2028) aiming to deepen decentralization by boosting local authorities’ capacity, financing, and accountability for better service delivery (health, sports, etc.) in Zambia. It provides capital grants, performance-based financing, and technical support, requiring councils to meet conditions like audited financials and key staff to access funds, ultimately strengthening local governance and project implementation across the country.
